Deductible expenses on VA estate

If you are doing an accounting in Virginia, the form starts with everything that was reported on the Inventory (Beginning Assets) and accounts for every dollar in, and every dollar out, and ends with Assets on Hand if it is carried over to another year. So, yes, all expenses which were paid out of the estate (or reimbursed out of the estate to the executor, et al) are shown on this form. BTW, there is a newer edition -- Form CC-1680 (w) 11/06 which can be downloaded.
This form is NOT a tax form, so nothing is "deducted," but these expenses would be included on Line 6, Disbursements for Debts & Expenses. Also, this form is only a summary page. You must detail each line except Line 1 on a separate sheet(s) of paper. Try to limit to 6 pages total or filing fee goes up. Is this a first accounting? Or second or later? Final? If final, there is another form which must be submitted with this one.
If you mean the Fiduciary Income Tax form, that is Form 770. Info flows from federal 1041, and yes these expenses would be deductible as administrative expenses.Last edited by Burke; 06-23-2009, 03:44 PM.
