    Hsa

Client, S corp employer, Single person, made HSA contribution of $5,000 in 2008.

When doing 2008 return, can client deduct as an expenses on s corp return?

Client does pay insurance premium which I included as part of wages on business return and reported on Employee's W-2.

    Thanks!

Who made the contribution to the HSA? S-Corp. or S/H?

As far as I know, all medical benefits (incl. HSA contributions) for a S-Corp. owner need to be included in the W-2. Then S-Corp. can deduct $5,000 and shareholder will deduct on pg. 1 of his 1040 same as medical insurance.
