    I agree 100%. Add in the fact that senior citizens have already paid taxes on their savings and income and don't want to now participate in a Sales Tax so that they are triple taxed.

    Politicians have a political interest in proposing new tax rules and regulations to make our taxes easy, they have zero interest in actually doing so.

    EDIT and as for the original requirement that licensing should be required, I'm 100% in agreement. For most individuals, doing their taxes in the most financially advanced transaction they are undertaking in any given year. If we require a license to get your hair cut, I think we can require a license for tax planning and preparation.
