    Not so clever tax cheat..

At a tax pro round table with our state tax commission the audit division chief told about a fraudulent preparer they found this year. Seems he prepared around 50 returns with the exact same phony numbers and simply changed the SSN and names. Apparently not having access to efiling, he filed all the returns on paper.....

    in one big package.

The operations folk decided that deserved "special" processing.

    Explanation

He probably planned in due time to turn himself in and collect a reward.

Many tax cheats and criminals believe they are smarter than IRS and the police.
That makes it easier for IRS and the police to catch them.
