    Energy Credit fro Residential Rental

I posted a question about the availability of an Energy Credit for solar installation in a residential rental.
As no one had a difinitive answer I contacted NATP. They sent me documentation that residential rentals do qualify for the energy credit on form 3468. Just thought I would pass this along.

Did they specify any cite to Code, Regs, or Case law which led them to this conclusion?

What it says is although long term lodging facilities don't qualify for investment credit they do qualify for the energy section of form 3468.

The eay it is written I found this very hard top follow but I do believe that solar does qualify
for a credit on form 3468 for rentals.
