    Does anyone market mortgages?

If so did you have to become a mortgage broker? I thought at one time Intuit had a program where tax preparers could market mortgages.

My son is with me today and he does market mortgages. Licensing is by state. Each is different.
Go to www.NAMB.org for more information.
I sent his email to your pm.

Marketing mortgages sound like a very good way to add a side-business to an accounting practice. But why would your clients ask you for a mortgage though? If they want to buy a property, usually the real estate agent would have loan agents referred to them. I have been doing tax for more than 10 years and not one single client had ever approached me for a mortgage.

I am very interested in knowing more about this.

NotEasy, probably more Refi then purchases...

With the Refi the Realtor is usually out of the picuture but even on purchases, some of my clients are asking for a Realtor referral so my client starts with me, then I could be in a position to do the mortgage.

I would think tax preparers would be the best referral source for a Realtor yet I have never had a Realtor approach me.
