" anybody want to buy a Radio Shack TRS 80 model 1 computer?"

No need for it here, but I still have about 5 Apple IIe and IIgs computers in my storage building that I'll sell cheap. I have to keep one working because I have one client who continued to post their check book and sales tax info on their Apple IIe until the end of 2008.

      Blue Rubber Bands

My "assistant" who's never around once gave me a bag of large, blue rubber bands that newspaper carriers use here in CT. Supposed to be less brittle in the cold and heat and not break. I'm almost out. I need to coax her back again. (She's been mugged, her house was robbed, her car was totaled, her daughter had a tumor removed from her thyroid, her father had Alzheimer's, her mother died, her aunt died but mother was to be the executor, her father died, her son's school district changed its boundary line so she's selling her house, her daughter went through a FAFSA audit, her boyfriend's job moved farther away waking them up at 3 a.m. to get him to the train in their one car, her car was robbed of her briefcase and computer and business items, she was robbed personally, her sister's suing her for something to do with the estates she's executing, her ex-husband is taking her back to court to lower child support, one of the estates is in Florida, her father was robbed while alive with Alzheimer's, his guns showed up in NYC causing her to need a gun permit to retrieve them now that her father's dead, she was beaten up while trying to protect a lady whose purse was being taken, etc. I think the only returns she did were her own and her boyfriend's and her three children's and her best friend's -- all freebies!) But, back to the very important topic: I think I'll get some of those multi-colored rubber bands.

        Adding Machine Tape?????>

I gave up in total frustration in trying to figure on top or on the bottom. After reading all the above I have finally and forever solved the problem.

I bought a subtracting machine, loading the tape is not an issue, no problem at all, the problem is how the devil do you add two and two, I always come up with zero on the dang thing.

          Money saving tip

Doesn't matter which way you put the paper in, curling in or out, cause the purpose of the exercise is to allow it to roll over your desk onto the floor. Never tear it off; never cut it with scissors. Then when you're out of paper you can simply take the end of the paper and roll it up with printed side inwards. Result is that when you've finally rolled it together again, you have a fresh roll of paper.
I know these are challenging economic times, but couldn't you almost save the same amount of money by buying your necessary paper in the single-ply 1000 sheet rolls? And having it roll over your desk is just plain gross.
