Yes, I agree. What might seem to be a simple questions... turns out not to be because of the different variables that are apparent in each situation.

I have found this board to be one of the best and I had a successfull first year out on my own with the help of several members.

I'm in California - Los Angeles to be exact.

Pocahontas, if you'd like take down my contact info and I don't mind helping out either. I'm usually really good with emails since they come straight to my smartphone.

www.reyestaxes.com <-- has my contact info

Pocahontas, I'm reading deeply into your words, and perhaps am hearing something different than everyone else. Perhaps what you are trying to tell us is that you need extensive help, perhaps an elongated exchange of 20-30 minutes on the telephone. We do help each other on this board but I think the approach here is for very direct questions and short answers.

You may have a complex question which might take one of us several hours to type something that might only take 20 minutes over the phone. If that is the case, this board is probably not the appropriate place for that.

I might suggest you find someone geographically close to you, someone you could meet at a seminar, and can spend this kind of time with you. One of our good people is from Bishop, and there may be someone even closer. It is also to your advantage to find someone in your same state, as part of your job will most likely involve state taxes as well. Many of us are not knowledgeable in states other than where we live.

If this doesn't work, try sending a private message with your phone # to Snaggletooth or to another personality you have found on the board. We are much more likely to spend telephone time now that tax season is over.

well actually, Jesse I did contact a tax preparers in my town and ask questions, this lady I was just extremely rude she has been a tax preparer for over 30 years and just had absolutely no patience. I decided never to call her again, perhaps she has forgotten she was once in the same boat as I or may be she is a Genious and it has gotten to her head, who knows??
