You lost me there. Your tax papers? or your clients' tax papers?
And these papers show people getting engaged?

    Hmmmm...

I think BB is talking about engagement letters.

      Right Bart?

Well of course I know, but what has that to do with engagements?

I remember this one martinet who was always finding excuses to go up to headquarters,
constantly doing favors for them, political to the core. Well, "political" is the nice word
              for it. (grin

                Martinet

The word can mean a variety of things including one of the lines customarily attached to square sails allowing the sails to be furled. However the more common meaning in English since the time when square sails became uncommon is derived from the name of a French Military officer who devised a new system of close order drill. When the word is used based on this guy's name it refers either to an excessively strict disciplinarian in the military services or similar setting such as a military school or ROTC program or more broadly to someone who adheres rigidly to the outward form and ritual as demanded by a code of law or rules or other agreed upon authority and perhaps goes against the spirit of this code.

Snags, (I mean BB) I like and respect you but neither Harlan nor I are Martinets when we point out to you that you could wind up in serious trouble if your granddaughter reveals the name of a client or any information about that client to someone else and EITHER the client finds out and is mad OR the IRS finds out in which case they will get mad. I am not a paragon of virtue in any sense and especially when it comes to professional ethics but the one time I gave client information to someone who I should not have, I had the client's word that the person already knew all of the information. What I am thinking is that maybe you are in a rural area such that almost anyone whether or not a client could name most of your clients and your granddaughter picked up nothing but their names. I still think you could be setting yourself up for trouble down the road but I hope not.
