    Another K-1 question

another K-1 question. I thought I read somewhere, and I can't retrace my steps to find out where, that ordinary income and interest income could be considered passive income for a limited partner if he/she is not involved in the partnership except by name only? This is my own K-1. I am finding these K-1's can be quite complicated and not really clear.

    don't think so

Interest and dividends are portfolio not passive.

I agree with interest income but ordinary income from a passive activity (no material participation) is considered passive income.

        hmmm

okay...here's another question..would it seem right for management fee income to be qualified as portfolio income? under other income on K-1. Is that what REMIC income is?

No, management fee income is not portfolio income. However, REMIC is. It is interest.
