    MFS missing SSN

I have a client that hasn't seen there spouse in a couple years and wants to file MFS. She doesn't have the spouses social and there are no dependents.

My software won't let me efile w/o the spouse's SSN and the abandoned spouse requires a dependent, no?

    What are the filing options?

Mail it with a notation in the SSN box "Unavailable."

Thanks, that's what I thought. I was hoping there was some way around it, but figured there wasn't.
