What is the last year we can amend and get refund? Is it 2005 until 4/15/08

Yep. Is it 10/15/09 if they filed an extension in 2005?

....and we see that "taxea" is back under a new moniker.

        Same old schtick, though.

            Yep, thinking the same here.

What went through my mind was "back, but unable or unwilling to make any meaningful contribution".

I just check the IRS website and the deadline to file and get a refund on 2005 is 4/15/09

I am confused by the question, just too general, or possibly my mind is too fuzzy? If filed for the 2005 tax year on/before 04/15/06 1040X deadline would be 4/15/09, or 2004 tax year filed on/before 04/15/05 would be 04/15/08, correct?

Some of us are under pressure and short of time and may not have had the time to read the instructions. If you have time why don’t you read the instructions and post an answer?

If you don’t have the time or an answer why can’t you just ignore the post?

I can see that I am truly welcome here. Thank you all for your words of endearment. I am so truly touched.
BH you could have used this quote:
meaning "diamond" in Hawaiian. anyone of this name is a walking goddess. definently not a chick to mess with. she gets down.

CERTAIN refunds are not issued after two years by IRS.
I cannot remember the details at the moment.
