    65 with disable son

A married couple who father is retired and the wife cleans businesses. He is 65 and it is
his son and the wife - married 10 years - is 68. The fathers son is disabled and he is retired. With the profit from her business - it is kicking in earned income. Does that sound right?
I know when they reach 65 without a dependent child - eic quits. Any input on this matter.
    Thanks

    Age

of the parent is not a factor in EIC with a qualifying child. People with no qualifying child have to be under 65 to get EIC. A permanently and totally disabled child who meets the other tests can be a qualifying child for EIC purpuses at any age. You might want to take ten minutes and read up on EIC starting on page 11-7 of the 1040 Edition.
