I have a client who received a 1099-R IRA distr of $9000. Stockbroker had invested the
IRA in different type funds within the IRA. The $9000 was invested in a fund that went
bankrupt. The taxpayer did not receive any money form this fund but got a 1099-R
as a distribution. The stockbroker says a correction should be coming, but may not
be done before 4-15-09. Should I include in income and file an amended form later, or
just file an extention?
