    Would the construction of a fence qualify for the special bonus%50 depreciation??

      MACRS property with a recovery period of 20 yrs or less? Not a repair?

      Then yes.

          wouldn't a fence be considered partly real estate? i didn't think we could take 179 exp or special depreciation .

              Fence is considered land improvement and as such qualifies for the special depreciation.
