Interest on medical

Does anyone know if paid they claim interest on what was owed on the medical due to being turned over to collection agency - past years due - that can deduct as medical????
Interest - how fun this time of year.

As far I as know interest for medical debt is personal interest and therefor not deductible.

Can't convert non deductible interest into a medical expense.

I didn't take it but just wanted to make sure. Didn't think so - but to hear the clients - man - when tired - anything sounds good till wake up and it is like - no....no can do.
