Refund check lost

That's about right. He has to file a claim, they wait a couple of months for possible check to clear bank account, probably won't duplicate until after 90 days.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get a replacement for a lost refund check from the IRS?

If IRS has not improved since then (around 1995) and if my customer was telling me true, then it's no quick thing. She said it took about three months to get the second one.
