    Foreign Income

Have a client that worked in China 198 days last year. 28 days out 28 days in.
Income is at 250K . No wage statements. All monies were direct deposited in US bank.
How is this reported. This is the first of this kind that i have seen.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

      keeping his shirt on?

Your client made that kind of money? Did he/she get to keep his clothes on?

      =)

Really, that foreign income goes on Line 7 if he was not paid by a US agency, as far as I know. (And I'm not exactly an Oracle of Knowledge)

I had a couple of new clients with the same thing. One was there over a year and used 2555 for the exclusion. The other was reported on Line 7 wages. Taxwise links to a foreign employer.

I have a baseball player coming in next week with your same scenario. I'll watch for more answers to emerge on this link.

      Thanks for asking.
