    W-2 - Incorrect withholdings

Taxpayer's W-2 shows too much SS tax and Medicare Tax withheld. Rather than the 6.2% that should be withheld, employer shows 7.36% withheld on SS and 1.72% on Medicare. Does taxpayer need to go back to employer to have corrected prior to my filing? Or do I file based on the current W-2??

Yes, need to get it from the employer. No, not before filing. (This is the W-2 that was sent to the IRS.)
