    Missing W-2

New Client-moved here from Louisiana in April, 2005. Prior to Hurricane Katrina.
Client was employed while in LA. However, the business suffered some damage from Katrina and my new client cannot get the W-2 from there. Any suggestions on how to handle this situation?
All ideas are welcome, appreciated, etc.

Pay stubs can provide some info. A n estimate would not hurt.

Katrina related people that can't get a w-2 from a firm affected by the storm can use a substitue form from pay stubs. No problem - see various IRS subjects on the topic.

Substitute from 4852 should be prepared by the taxpayer from whatever records available.
