E Filing And Form 8283

If the total non-cash contribution is more than $500 and you are efiling, do you have to send in an 8453 and a copy of the 8283. Know that you must when the contribution is more than $5,000 with an appraisal. Brain dead on this one.!!!

I have never filed one for contributions less than $5,000. They have all be accepted.

difference is the signatures

It isn't necessary under $5000 because the form does not have to be signed by the charity and appraiser.

As long as the form is filled in with appropriate detail, it can be transmitted electronically.
