Wouldn't that run counter to the purpose of this forum?
I haven't posted any questions on the subject and refuse to prepare returns claiming the credit, but have been interested in reading about the real-life situations others have encountered.
As for your concern, I have an alternate suggestion. You control what you see and don't see, and it's simple enough to simply not click on the question when you see it in the title. I suggest that monitoring your own usage and employing a little self-censorship would be much more considerate than appointing yourself the arbiter of what's important to others.Last edited by JohnH; 03-08-2009, 06:17 AM."The only function of economic forecasting is to make astrology look respectful" - John Kenneth Galbraith

It can be hard to really hear the tone of someone when they post on a message board. But, your posts frequently comes across as hostile, angry, and impatient.
If this board upsets you so much, why do you bother with it. As the others have said, if you're not interested in a thread subject, just move along. I learn alot reading posts about subjects that have been discussed before.
Just offer you knowledge and help when you can. And leave the repititous posts to the others.
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted, then used against you.

We are Adults
The title of the thread (1st Time Homebuyer) may be repetitive, however I find after reading the posts that the questions are valid, pertinent, and varied.
I believe the general and unspoken rules here on the TTB forum might be something like this:
It is rude to criticize posts.
It is polite to ignore posts you don't find interesting.
This is known as: Common courtesy.

i come to this board twice a day. i do not read threads that i know i am not qualified to do returns; i don't do s or c corp's, i don't do balance sheets, and other subjects. but i do enjoy reading most of the posts, most are informative, some are funny, but overall enjoyable. but as White Oleander remarked Taxea does come across as harsh, hostile and angry.
