    Depreciation

    MY CLIENT WANTS TO DEPRECIATE small HAND TOOLS. I ONLY DEPRECIATE BIG ITEMS. IS THIS OKAY TO DEPRECIATE HIS small TOOLS IN HIS TOOL BOX? I USE SMALL HAND TOOLS ON SCH C AS OTHER EXPENSES.

    Technically they should be depreciated but most tax preparers simply deduct them as other expenses.

      I would take a 179 depreciation on them.
