W2 issued by Sch C to self

There was a recent thread pertaining to the above subject. I have used search and tried to look through the general board and am unable to locate it. Does anyone remember it and can you point me to the thread.

    Thanks,
    LT
Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".

    LT,

Are either of these two links what you are looking for? I looked for quite some time and these were the only ones posted recently.

Primary Forum for posting questions regarding tax issues. Message Board participants can then respond to your questions. You can also respond to questions posted by others. Please use the Contact Us link above for customer support questions.

I hope these are the ones.

      No

      LT,

I posted the second link, which will not be the one you are wanting. Not enough coffee. I will keep looking for you! Can you give me some idea of what you consider "recent"?

My days have run together lately, but I thought it was in the last 2-3 weeks. I tried search but all the terms that I used either came up with nothing or were about self employment. It's probably right in front of me and I am looking around it trying to find it.

You know the old saying "It's always in the last place that you look." Of course this ignores the fact that you stop looking when you find it.

        Thanks for your help.

          Ok

          LT,

I will take a look later on for the period in question. I have some disturbing "tax issues" in front of me right now

No problem - I appreciate what you are doing. I went over to the Drake board thinking that maybe I had remembered the wrong board and went through the month of February and it was not there.

As for disturbing tax problems, in my case it is just a disturbed mind of the preparer.

By golly, I believe it is. And it is your post that I was remembering about seeing sole prop. issuing W2. Do you know of any kickback from them doing this?

I just finished looking at all the topics in February and did not see what I thought the correct one was, but I was not looking at partnerships.

                My appreciations.

Did I say disturbing tax issues? How silly. This is what I meant to say!

Glad B found the post for you.

No problem filing the return. Happened five years ago. Nary a peep.
