    First time homeowner credit

    Mrs owned a condo. Husband has never owned property. Recently married and want to know if he can get half the credit for 1st time home buyer.

      No, not if the condo Mrs. owned was her primary residence. If so, he's disqualified from FTHB status.

            Homeowner Credit...?

            so - Did the 15K make it? I saw article in NY Times says yes..
            but I need reading and still find 8k information...

            I'm soooo confused.......

            Yes, I looked at the CCH document... I have it on the laptop... I think I've mesmerized it.

              8K refundable credit for purcahses after 12/31/08 and no recapture unless principle residence sold w/i 36 months.
