    Ohio & Proseries

I wonder if someone who does a lot of Ohio returns and uses Proseries could help me? I have a client that lives in OH, has lived in two differant cities, worked in another and has lived in two differant school districts. My question is: How good is Proseries at getting the correct information to the right schools and cities? I thought we had it bad here in Mich with all of our city returns but this is a nightmare. In case any of you wonder the same for the State of Mich, Proseries falls a little short in issues in Mich. Thank you for your support.

    Ohio cities

I do a lot of multiple city returns in the Canton/Akron area of Ohio. We use Lacerte in that office, so is not the same, but of the same family. Ohio cities are terrible to do, every one is different, different rates, different allowance for credit paid to other cities, etc. I always check the numbers after I do one, at least until I know for certain that city is being done correctly. I found two this week not right, one in the rate and the other in the credit for taxes paid to a work city. Not fun, but so much to keep up with, it is a wonder they do as well as they do.
Very few school districts have an income tax, so we keep a list handy at all times. That seems to be clustered in certain parts of the state.
If you have specific questions I can find the info quickly on Ohio cities and schools.

      Thanks

AJ I finished that one yesterday. I called a nice woman in St. Mary she walked me through all three of the cities. I expect you folks must charge for each and everyone of those cities and school districts. I'm hoping that if I do that return next year it will be easier since they will have lived in the same city all year.
