    Second Job

Need a little help on what may be a no brainier.
Client has a regular place of employment working and receiving a W-2

Client also travels out of the area as a self employed person. Could this be considered travel to a temporary work location and all expenses deductible.

Lets assume she has no office in home.

    Usually easy one.

IF the second job is outside the tax home metropolitan area it would qualify as a temporary job location. Does not matter if self employed or an employee. Also if the job does not is not expected to last more than one year in that location.
Most likely, yes it qualifies for travel expenses and living expenses as any other temporary work location.
