    ProSeries Users...renaming file names

I am trying a short cut in which I want to print only the TP's last name, first name. ProSeries tells me I cannot alter the label. Have you notice in the home page, highlight a client then right click to change file name, the file name will not hold any capital letters/fonts. Example: If I change the file name to: Smith, Fred the results will be: smith, fred. I informed the ProSeries support person to attach to my case # of: 1-2688740116 that I suggesting ProSeries enhance the program so that the capital letters stay and give us the same feature when printing labels, to print only the names in the "file name'. This way we can use these labels for our physical files. If you are with me on this, then go to your "ProSeries Help Center" under the "help" menu on top and click on "provide feedback". Enter the case number above

I'm not sure about this but I think the labels in PS are taken from the client worksheet or page 1 of the 1040. This is why it doesn't print the way you want it to on labels. taxea
Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.

I think Proseries uses capitals in some form when you are not using the current year software or the return was not transfered from a previous year. I know I have seen caps in a file extension before but I just can't remember the situation. Why not just print the labels to use for a record.

That's it - when I have a new client I redo the previous year on Proseries - then when I transfer 2007 to 2008 the new file extenstion is in Caps - I wondered why - it is because it was not transferred from 2006.
