    Hope Credit

    I had a client today who brought in her 2007 return. It had Hope Credit. She is 78 years old and took one class. I had a hard time not laughing. Of course she didn't want to amend because she would have additional taxes (plus my fee).

      careful. There's a lot of us on this board that are getting close to that number and we take classes too. lol

        If you don't mind I'll hijack this thread for a Hope Credit question re the Spendulous Bill. I asked it elswhere but the title is vague and it has been hijacked itself .....

        Anybody have a definitive answer on whether the new Opportunity credit replaces, enhances or is in addition to other tuition credits?
