Has anyone ever used this function within IRS E-Services?

Anyone have a good or bad experience with efforts to resolve IRS notices using this process?

I have used it for discrepancies on the payroll tax returns, mostly moving payments from 941 acct to 940 or vice versa, and also moving payments from one quarter to another quarter.

Not much beyond that.

I've used it a new times with mixed success. As Sandy said it works pretty well for correcting way ward 8109 payments. Less well for complex problems.

I would advise that in your inquiry if they are suggesting you mail something in have them give you an address. I'm still chasing an amended return around from 4 years ago. We have submitted it 3 times, the IRS has acknowledged receipt but failed to process. When we contact them they tell us the return has not been processed and to resend it.
