    FORM RRB-1099R & Distribution Code

For FORM RRB-1099R is there a Distribution Code such as those listed on form
    1099-R shown in box 7 ?

Reason: trying to populate the tax program and it shows an error unless that box in populated.

    thanks in advance

Try RR. That is what my software uses.

Agree. My software has a different entry screen for RRB 1099R and 1099R. This may be causing your problem.

Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".

No, that is not causing the problem. I am using a different entry screen for RRB 1099R and 1099R. Selected was the RRB 1099R - However, there is not an option for "RR". The codes are the ones for Form1099 - my initial guess is that it is a 7 (normal distribution).

Both taxpayer and spouse are 65. Any other suggestions?

I agree with code 7 since it's a "normal" distribution for them at that age.
