    Question on Misc 1099 income

I have a 1099 misc with Rents income of 84.60. First time I have seen one like this. It's from a place in Denver, CO. Where do I list this?
Line 21 of 1040, Sch E, Sch C, or someplace else? Is a state return required?
    Thanks for your help.

    Where is the Property?

I can't imagine anyone sending out a 1099 for "rent" that low.

The treatment would depend on where this formidable total of $84 came from.

If there is not a rental operation, I would report it on Line 21 of 1040.

Since this is from Colorado, could it be a lease payment for an oil or gas lease where they pay as a lease instead of royalties on production?

Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".

        1099

        Chief,

I had a client that received them each year for rents from his residential rental in AZ. Those were the first I ever saw. Have not seen them since.
