    1040X filed w/ wrong SS#

I filed a form 1040X with a transposed social security number for one of the children. It was a do it yourself Mom that did not realize she could qualify for EIC as she signed Form 8332 allowing Dad to take the child as a dependent.

Any opinions on what if anything can be done? Just wait to see if it processes or see if we become pen pals with the IRS?

Thanks, I suggested they will catch it and when that letter comes from the IRS not to panic, come see me and we'll take care of it.
