Household employee

This is similar to Gabriele's thread except that it is a household employee who got a 1099.
If it is reported on line 7 with the notation HSH, there is NO FICA or medicare. Has anyone had any experience doing it this way?

I have had several clients that were employees and were issued 1099's. The income was reported on 4137 and so far no problem, but this case is a little different.

Sorry, no answer to your question.

But I am curious: Are you saying you did not file form SS-8 before filing the tax return and did not have any problems?
