My client received an email from the IRS saying she was eligible to receive a tax refund of $182.50. It goes and then says to access your tax refund click here. She knew it was a scam and wanted me to report it, but to who? The local police, IRS, what has anyone else done?

Get it to the IRS fast!
Our local IRS contact said that when they get one of these forwarded to them the IT people can shut down the url for that email account within one hour. Stops the scammers in their tracks and prevents others more gullible from being scammed. At least at that particular url."A man that holds a cat by the tail learns something he can learn no other way." - Mark Twain
