    Reimbursement paid as wages

construction worker"s lodging and travel expense reimbursed as part of his salary, how would those reimbursements be treated???

    thanks

How are they treated on the W-2? If the reimbursement is included in wages then he would take a full deduction on form 2106. If not included in Box 1 of the W-2 then he would report expense and reimbursement on form 2106.
In other words, a democratic government is the only one in which those who vote for a tax can escape the obligation to pay it.

Would depend on if an accountable or nonaccountable plan. Is it part of his taxable salary or nontaxable salary?

it is a non accountable plan and the client says it is part of his wages, so if it wasn't part of his wages it would show in probably box 14 right??

          thanks

It should be included in box 1 wages in that case and he could take a deduction on form 2106. . If it wasn't part of the taxable wages it would not necessarily show up in box 14.
