Late ES payment

    Late ES payment

    Even though it's after Jan. 15, if a client sends an ES payment and stipulates on the check that it's for 2008 ES, will the IRS accept and apply it as such?

      Well of course they will. All payments duly appreciated.

      Your software if it's good, will use the actual date to calculate any applicable form 2210
      penalties.
