    Cuurent Not Collectible

Anyone have any recent experience with CNC work with regard to how long it is taking to do this for billing purposes? I am doing a proposal cost to a potential client and want to bill time as a lump sum in hours. Therefore, I just want to know what the average time involved is.

    Thank you for your help.

Depends on whether you can get it done without the 433 being submitted. If you have to submit a 433 and documentation, I would charge a minimum of 5 hours standard rate. If not, a couple of hours should cover it.

      Without Details CNC

Thanks Taxmandan; preliminarily we are looking at approximately $40,000 in amounts owed collectively without details.

You will definately have to fight for that one, that' s a large $$$ amount to try and avoid with CNC. Form 433 will only be the beginning of the fight, I would start with a retainer for 20 hours and bill for the rest as it develops. No way that one is going to go down without extensive back-and-forth with theIRS.
