    Filing for S Corp Status

    New client had his friend incorporate his business in March 2008. He filed his request for S Corp in Dec. 2008. The election is effective January 1 2009..
    Can he still request S Corp status effective March 2008.

      the TAxBook, viz the chapter on S corporations. There is an excellent table in there telling just when and how elections are to be made.
