    Dance Studio

    Good Day All:

I have a client that needs a simple bookeeping sustem that can track payments/charges by student (Approx 190 students), also that may be able to generate monthly billing statements. Thanks. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Maybe an excell spreadsheet type? Anyone know off any systems that specialize in Dance Studios.

    Thanks

    QuickBooks

How about QuickBooks Simple Start? You can download a free version of it to try. I think it is limited to 20 customers, but it would give them an idea of what they could do with QB. The regular version of QB Simple Start is around $100; and unless they are good with a spreadsheet, QB is probably much easier to use once they get it set up correctly.

Quickbooks is what I'd recommend as well. Just encourage them to invest in some training - they shouldn't expect to buy it off the shelf and instantly become an expert once it's loaded on their computer.

        Qb

Their QB ProAdvisor can get them a FREE copy or download of QB Simple Start. But, for 190 students instead of the 20 customers they can track in SS, they will need to upgrade to Pro. Why don't you charge them a set-up fee to get the chart of accounts the way you want it to be to work with your tax preparation categories? You can make them type in the customer names and other tedious lists. You make a fee, get a P&L at the end of the year that meets your tax prep needs, and have a client who thinks you're brilliant.

You can get a 20% discount plus free shipping by clicking on the QB link on my website:

Are you implying that the commercials are misleading?
