          Is this version adequate?

I have been getting the Premier Accountant's Version for roughly a hundred more than this costs before the rebate. Is this adequate for someone who keeps the books for other outfits?

I haven't purchased the Premier Accountant's edition for a couple of years, since I haven't used it. Honestly, I'm not sure I'll use this either since I'm not doing write-up work.

The Premier Accountant's edition is much better. It consists of all the various versions available (non-profit, etc.). Actually, I think I got it free for attending a QB seminar. They're hoping Accountants will refer their product to clients. I don't know if this will allow for multiple clients, or not.

Since then, I "think" QB now charges extra for the capability to modify the financial statements to conform to GAAP statements with footnotes, etc. I "think" that's another $100. It used to be included with the Premier edition. A current user would know more than me.

As everyone probably already knows, QB has really become the "standard". When I did write up I used Creative Solutions, Write-Up solution which is much better, but very costly. If I were to do write up again, I'd just join the "wagon train" and learn QB.

              Qb 2009

This was an "awesome" promotion. It came in on my email from Pro Advisors over the weekend and I forwarded to all of my Accounting Clients and a few that have been thinking about installing Quickbooks, or existing clients that I would be recommending upgrading to a newer edition.

I already have my QB 2009 Accountant's Edition with my Pro Advisor membership.

So a couple of new clients on board! And finally Intuit did something to assist us in possibly gaining new clientele.

Staples locations only had limited supplies, but most all of my clients were able to purchase. One of my clients called tonight and said he was able to purchase "2" copies, so he did!

The client doesn't really need the Accountant's Edition, the Pro for them is just fine, and then it keeps "us" in the loop for the corrections and service, and be able to offer payroll services, etc.

                Qb

I too spread the work to my clients. At least one upgraded from 2006 to 2009. Now I need to install my own 2009.
