    Member In Distress

Harlan Lunsford is at home without his password. If anyone in management who has access to his password sees this before 12/1 when he will go back to the office, please send me a PM or Email with the address or phone number he can call and I will send it to him. Of course if you have access to his email go on and send it directly to him.

    Password

If he has the CD, go to the last page of the index and his number may be there under "organizer password". Not sure if it's the same one, but he can give it a try.

I wrote mine down on the CD cover and had to use it a few times.

    Hope this helps.

He has nothing of the kind at home but he does have them at the office. He would like to follow the board from home tomorrow and over the weekend but it it isn't as if he will die or even suffer harm to his business if he can't.

Question - I told him that we each have a different password and that an individual's password only gets someone into that individual's account. Can anyone confirm that please? Or deny it?

I'm sure glad you clarified that, erchess. The impression might have been that I would suffer unknown pangs of withdrawal similar to a nicotine fit .. or .. what do they call it? the
        DT's? (grin)

          S O S / S O S

I know just how y'all feel, EC. A very close call, this password business ominously threatened to silence my two cents worth for days or even (gasp) two weeks. Obviously, such a catastrophe had to be prevented -- I weighed my options: (1) pray for divine intervention (2) a desperate emotional appeal to the moderators (plainly conspiring to suppress my scholarly statements). Thankfully, I found my '07 book and disaster was averted.

I shortened the above quote to save time, but I've got the gist of it right, haven't I?

I think that's right (if I understand what you're asking). He will need both passwords (book & individual). Logging on, a popup said "update your profile." I posted the book password in the profile, went to the message board, typed in my name and usual individual password, and then I could post.

          P.S. Dear Harlan,
While I'd planned asking for a moment of silent prayer, I just noticed that you've, mercifully, been rescued. Who says there's nothing to give thanks for today?

          P.P.S. Dear Harlan,
Sorry, but I ("grin"-as you would say) couldn't help it -- erchess' remarks were just too rich to resist.

                  Warning

I think TTB should have given us a warning before locking the board with a password. I was in distress too. Maybe they had good reasons to do this without warning.

                      Harlan there's room for you

The names we are trying to take are Larry Curly and Mo. I will take whichever is left over when you two have made your choices.

I also went on vacation before the password re-entry requirement went into effect. Left on Tuesday Nov 23 and just returned today. I had my laptop along so I had the ability to follow the posts without being able to jump in.

What REALLY bothers me is that the quality of the conversation appeared to be much better when I wasn't able to participate. Now I'm trying to figure out what would be the most charitable thing to do from this point forward...
