    Homebuyer Credit

Does anyone know how in any future tax year, a new preparer is going to be able to track how much credit is to be repaid, and how much credit is remaining?
I haven't seen this discussed at all in any articles regarding this credit.

Good question--Kind of like, how do you know when a new client filled out Form 8606 ten years ago when he did a non-deductible IRA

They'll get a reduced refund and/or a letter when the return is prepared without the payment most likely. I think the homebuyer credit fits the mold for "how not to do things".
