    I loved it!

I loved it! And, it clearly had the couple besting the younger policemen, so taxea shouldn't think it insulted the elderly or his mother. I thought it was a compliment to us baby boomers, the new euphemism for us aging folks. I'll be 62 on my next birthday, definitely still in my MIDDLE years with a grandmother who lived until 103. Our second child is still in college, in the marching band, so we have season tickets to the football games. I had a IRS telephone forum this morning and a couple hours of CEUs this evening on rental income, so was ready for some humor. Thank you for the positive laugh.

      Great Post

I welcome these type of posts

We all glean something out of them, if nothing more to bring us back to reality and what so many of our taxpayers/clients have to deal with on a day to day basis. Provides us with more information and stories to share.

Yes, AARP at Age 50 we are considered to have reached the age of "Seniors"

They must not have really wanted you. I got my invite about a month and a half prior to 50.

I got one in my early 40s. was not happy. Just got a flyer concerning legislation they are fighting; can't remember the topic but they wanted comments from seniors to send to legislators. Don't think they would send on mine....

Two elderly gentlemen, Jack and Harry, were chatting over coffee one morning.

Jack. "Me and the Mrs. went to a good restaurant last night."

            Harry. "What was it called"

Jack was clearly struggling to recall the name. —What's the name of that flower that women like to get"

            "Carnation"

"No. It's usually red with big petals"

            "Poppy"

No. It has a thorny stem.

            Do you mean a rose?

            That's it.

Jack picks up his cell phone and phones his wife. —Rose. What was the name of that restaurant we went to last

              True story.
Several years ago my sister-in-law (in her early to mid- 50's at the time) and her husband ordered breakfast at a fast food chain drive-through. When they reached the window the teenager taking their money told them the company was starting a new "Seniors Coffee Discount" promotion and asked if they'd like to sign up.

My sister-in-law quizzed her "What makes you think we qualify?".

The teenager replied sheepishly, "Well, the manager just told me to use my judgement."
