You may have dodged a bullet. Someone with so little regard for the time of a professional is sure to annoy you in a variety of ways. I file an extension for anyone that doesn't have complete information in by April 10. I know this cost me a client last year. I also won't accept clients with prior year returns during tax season. I'll do the current return but the old years have to wait.
Client on phone: "But if I don'f file 200x I'll lose my refund!"
me: "You had three years to file the 200x return, I have three months to service 500 regular clients"
In other words, a democratic government is the only one in which those who vote for a tax can escape the obligation to pay it.

      What was the Rush?

I do the same thing, DaveO. They have three years to file if they don't owe. If they owe they have to pay by 4/15 of the prep year and techanically have three years to file the paperwork. taxea
