1099 Extensions

    1099 Extensions

    I have never seen this form before or the oportunity to file for an extension of 1099s. Maybe this is a result of the new penalties for failure to file information return.

      The 1997 and forward W-2 instructions include reference to Form 8809. 1996 didn't. So it's been around for a while at least.

              I just discovered

              I also just discovered this form 8809, and I am sure that I can put it to good use during the 1099 filing season 2009.
