State Rebate for seniors and disabled

Lately i've been finding that there are quite a few people who aren't aware of State tax rebates due to them. I've been filing a few PA-1000s -- Pennsylvania Property Tax and Rent Rebate Claim.

It's not been especially lucrative for me but very enjoyable. I've been able to make a few people quite happy. I'm tempted to seek out more seniors as i'm getting a little quicker at turning these over quickly (and accurately).

    You might try

posting some advertisement in some elderly care centers to obtain more of the business you prefer. Or talk to the resident manager about setting up a tax station for a few hours on the weekend during tax season to do returns for the ones that are not able to get out on their own.

Thanks very much Larry. That is a good idea.

Last night i called a senior to arrange a meeting. She invited me over for Thanksgiving dinner -- very nice. It's a bit of a struggle to bill her but i will do it.

        It's Christmass in October.

        I just found another one.

Larry, someone suggested that i go and visit the senior center in the low income area. I think that's a good idea. I'm not sure whether i should wear a suit and tie or a Santa Clause suit.

          bump

And i just picked up yet another one.

This elderly widow will get a 500 dollar rebate. Looking at her records i see that some idiot prepared her 1040 without preparing the rebate form. Her preparer would not spend the extra six minutes printing off another form from the computer. What an ***hole.

How could you face yourself in the mirror every morning?

This bonehead printed out a return, gave her a bill and then did not even sign the stupid return -- no preparer information whatsoever!

Since I have not sympathy for this moron should i report him? Would it be worth it?
