Question about AZ

Good day,

I am wondering whether any of you can recommend a contact department with telephone number for Arizona State employment department. I need to get an AZ employer number (if one is needed) for one of my AZ clients for payroll purposes. I am in CA.

You need to fill out an Arizona Joint Tax Application to obtain employer withholding and employer unemployment account numbers.

This form is also used for transaction privilege tax (sales tax) account numbers.

Thank you BHoffman; this was very helpful. I have a tax preparation client in AZ who wanted to do their own payroll and I was not sure of the procedure of obtaining a number for reporting purposes.
