    Resubmitting Efile

Efiled a client's return yesterday on time. This morning there was a rejection notice due to an incorrect SSN. In the meantime, we received more information from an IRS transcript that would make a minor change in the results.

If the new information is added along with the correction, will the return be accepted as filed on time, or late because of the new info?

    TIA

Similar situation, my clients ex took a child and the return was rejected. Now we must paper file and client is out of town. Will a mailed return tomorrow still be considered timely?

I understand the return in question would be considered timely filed. I suggest including a hard copy of the rejection notice that you should be able to print from your software.
