On the way to the office I stopped to get $100 out of my account at instant cash. I push all the information in and out comes 5 $5s???!!! I wait for the receipt and when it prints it says I got $100. I have had my personal accounts at this bank for 34 years, so I walk around to the drive up teller with the cash and receipt in my hand and say look at this you have some $5s in your twenty slot. She stumbles around and goes get help who comes back to tell me it will take 10 minutes. I do not wait well and they could tell that. In about two minutes they came back and said they probably could not do anything until after 1PM. I have always joked when going to the track that I should have realized my betting luck when the cash machine would only give me $50 when I asked for $100. The track is closed..

TheTaxBook relation is - this is the bank that the Quickfinders purchased their old building from back when you guys were just kids. Brad probably had the cash machine dropping bills into his desk for years.

Didn't you get the memo? ATM's are the way the bailout is going to be financed.

All ATMS will now dispense $5's in the place of $20's. It's still a good deal, because they will only give you $1's when you ask for $10's. The difference goes into the bailout fund, minus a small 75% commission diverted to campaign funds for the politicians who voted for the bailout.

I knew it was a bad day

when after learning first thing this morning that the fed worked late into the night and
unamiously agreed on another 1/2 point cut in the discount rate, I got to the office, fired
up my home page and saw the market was down.
Again.
I don't wanta look any more.

Going for two week vacation Friday. Wake me up when it's over.

And the Cubs lost.

And, the Cubs lost?! I've been too busy to keep up with the news, and certainly not sports, so I didn't know. Now, I'm really depressed. Well, maybe not; it's the usual result, after all. Wait'll next year!
